Auxiliary of Conroe Regional Medical Center

If you can answer, "yes" to both of these questions, then the Volunteer Auxiliary of Conroe Regional Medical Center is waiting for you!
Currently nearly 200 adults from 19-95 years of age give generously of their time and talent to provide service to Conroe Regional Medical Center. From answering telephones to assisting at the information desks and from working in the gift shop, selling popcorn, to offering assistance in patient care areas, our Volunteers are everywhere!
As a member, you are asked for a four-hour per week commitment, but we are willing to discuss a plan that works with your schedule. Following orientation, you will become a respected part of the healthcare team at CRMC.
A Board of Directors approves and oversees the direction of the Auxiliary and the Bylaws. The Auxiliary reports directly to the Director of Marketing and Business Development. Click here to download a volunteer application.
Auxiliary Projects
Scholarships
This year we awarded $47,000 in scholarships to students from Montgomery County, providing financial assistance as they begin their college careers in the healthcare arena.
Junior Volunteer Program
Each summer dozens of high school students spend their time earning volunteer hours with us while assisting throughout the hospital.
American Heart Association
Along with sponsoring quarterly blood drives, the Auxiliary also provides hand-stitched heart pillows for heart patients after surgery and participates in the association's activities in Montgomery County.
American Cancer Society
The Auxiliary sponsors and regularly participates in the Relay for Life Cancer Walk, as well as provides turbans, crocheted hats and revitalized wigs for cancer patients.
Children's Safe Harbor
We continue to partner with this group that assists children who have been abused.
Montgomery College
We have created an endowment with North Harris Montgomery Community College District to provide ongoing scholarships to students entering the healthcare field.
For the nursery
In addition to making isolette and chair covers for the nursery, the Auxiliary makes baby packets for indigent newborns, dresses newborns in holiday stockings in December, provides fetal demise packets when necessary, and provides baby packets for the Emergency Department as needed.
Fund Raising
While the Gift Shop is the primary source of funding for the Auxiliary and its activities, an annual raffle and craft sale, an annual flower sale and a few other fundraisers are held throughout the year to raise money. How Can I Join?
