Conroe Regional Medical Center (CRMC) has received the Texas Hospital Quality Improvement Silver Award from TMF® Health Quality Institute, the Medicare Quality Improvement Organization for Texas. The Texas Hospital Quality Improvement Award program, sponsored by TMF, Texas Hospital Association and Texas Organization of Rural and Community Hospitals recognizes Texas hospitals that have undertaken quality initiatives to improve outcomes in patient care and improve their performance on specific national quality measures.

HCA (NYSE:HCA) today announced the recipients of its 42nd annual Frist Humanitarian Awards, the company’s highest honor. Amanda Bohannon, a critical care unit nurse at Redmond Regional Medical Center in Rome, Ga., Branton “Brant” T. Chill, a volunteer at The Children’s Hospital at OU Medical Center in Okla., and Dr. Harry McCoy III, an oncologist and hematologist at LewisGale Hospital – Montgomery in Virginia are recipients of the national awards that recognize an HCA employee, volunteer and physician each year. They were presented with the award today at a ceremony in Nashville.

Conroe Regional Medical Center (CRMC) announced that it acquired the da Vinci® Si™ Surgical System, the newly refined, most up-to-date robotic surgery system, early this year. Dr. Emily Bullock, Obstetrician and Gynecologist, successfully performed the hospital’s first robotic assisted surgery, a total hysterectomy.

Conroe Regional Medical Center (CRMC) is now offering complimentary valet parking service to patients, guests and volunteers. The free valet service is located at the hospital’s main entrance, 504 Medical Center Blvd., and will be offered between the hours of 6:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. This service is complimentary, and tipping is not expected nor allowed. Self-parking, along with golf cart shuttles, will continue to be available.

On Thursday, November 21st, Conroe Regional Medical Center celebrated its grand opening of the Inpatient Rehabilitation Center with a ceremonial ribbon cutting, tours and refreshments. The event was attended by numerous hospital employees, physicians, board members and community leaders.
