Serving the north Houston region, Montgomery County and beyond, the Cancer Center at Conroe Regional Medical Center features the most advanced equipment to assist in the care of patients with cancer.

Located on the campus of the medical center, the Cancer Center can provide combined modality therapy program such as chemoradiation protocols, surgery and intraoperative brachytherapy.

• Two dual energy photon/electron linear accelerators
• Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT) and 3-Dimensional Conformal treatment regimens that treat tumors at the highest dose possible while sparing normal tissue
• Low Dose Rate (LDR) and High Dose Rate (HDR) brachytherapy for all sites including Seed Implant Brachytherapy for prostate tumors, lung, brain, gynecological cancer treatment and radioisotope therapy (Strontium-089/Metastron therapy/I131 therapy of the Thyroid)
• Virtual simulation capabilities, providing better image resolution for treatment planning
• Rhinoendoscopy suite for the examination and videoscopic recording of head and neck tumors
• Access to stereotactic radiosurgery, which has the capacity to deliver a high dose of radiation to hard-to-reach tumors

The medical director is joined by two board-certified radiation oncologists, a full-time board-certified medical physicist, board-certified radiation technologists, registered nurses, dieticians and clinical social workers to provide a continuum of care that will assist the patient in understanding the diagnosis and treatment of cancer.
